Dr. Cindy Lee graduated in the top 3 of her medical school class from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook Medical Center. She completed her residency in radiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital, followed by a fellowship in Breast and Body Imaging at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. Lee currently serves as the Chief of Breast Imaging and Vice Chair of Clinical Research and Faculty Affairs at SUNY Stony Brook. Previously, she was an Associate Professor of Radiology at New York University Langone Health and UCSF.

A national leader in medical quality, Dr. Lee served on the American College Medical Quality Board of Trustees and led ACMQ’s Annual Meeting Scientific Program Committees. Dr. Lee was awarded fellowship from the Society of Breast Imaging and the American College of Medical Quality. She holds multiple national leadership positions, including Chair of the Practice Quality Improvement Committee at the American Roentgenology Ray Society and Vice Chair of Practice Parameter for Breast Imaging at the American College of Radiology. She has published many articles and lectured extensively, nationally and internationally, on improving the patient outcome of mammographic screening.
